PRS SE CE 24 – Versatile Tone with Classic CE Construction
The PRS SE CE 24 brings the well-known Custom 24 platform into the SE Series with the added character of a bolt-on maple neck. Its solidbody construction combines a maple top with a flame maple veneer, mahogany back, and rosewood fretboard, while the maple neck uses PRS’s Wide Thin neck shape for a familiar PRS playing feel.
The guitar features 24 frets and a 25-inch scale length, along with a 10-inch-radius rosewood fretboard and PRS bird inlays. The bolt-on neck/body construction contributes to the characteristic snap and response associated with the CE design.
For electronics, the SE CE 24 uses PRS 85/15 “S” treble and bass pickups. These pickups are designed to provide clarity with extended high and low frequencies. The control layout consists of a master volume, push/pull tone control, and 3-way pickup selector, giving the player access to both humbucker and single-coil-style sounds through the push/pull control.
Hardware includes a PRS patented tremolo bridge and PRS-designed tuners with wing buttons, complemented by nickel hardware and a PRS nut. The tremolo is designed for tonal fidelity, player comfort, and tuning stability, while the tuners are designed to provide precise tuning.
With its combination of CE-style bolt-on construction, versatile 85/15 “S” electronics, 24-fret layout, PRS hardware, and distinctive PRS aesthetics, the SE CE 24 is designed as a flexible solidbody electric guitar for players looking for a broad range of usable tones and a familiar PRS playing experience.
